So We Beat On, Boats Against the Current, Borne Back Ceaselessly Into The Past.

The first time I read it I was in the 11th grade and ever since then I’ve been hooked.  Between the fabulous parties and the whole ignoring prohibition and the flappers and the drama, The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books and one of the best ones ever written.  I heard about the upcoming Gatsby film sometime early last year but now I’m getting really excited about it (This may have something to do with us being in the year it’s slated to come out…Or maybe it’s because Leonardo DiCaprio was overlooked in the Academy Awards nominations.  I know there wasn’t much of a reason to nominate him but when one of the hosts of the Today Show said that the nominees were one of the most good-looking groups of men, I was a little thrown off–I mean Leo and Daniel Craig weren’t in it…and there were at least two reasons to nominate Daniel.  Ahem, Dream House and The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo ringing any bells?).
