MMM MMM Good

So you’re going to have to bear with me for a while because as of right now, I am computerless and last night the Internet went out.  I’m going to make this a quick blog so as to not keep the desktop occupied too long.  Anyway, if you’ve read any of my blogs by now, you probably know that I intern at a I guess you would call lifestyle magazine for our area.  Each month, we have the dining section which showcases a different restaurant from the county and surrounding areas.  Well, the problem is that I’m not from Frederick County and I’m not exactly the same clients that we cater too so I never really have an opinion on our locations.  Therefore, this is going to be my dining guide for the Washingtion/Frederick/Jefferson County area (Also known as The List of Places That Are Overlooked by the Richer People in the Area). And Let the Senioritis Begin

Published August 22, 2012 by jrm17

Oh God!  It happened!  I am in my senior year of college.  Uh, oh.  I am completely terrified to start and finish this year and go on to Grad school or the real world or whatever comes next.  Now, I’ve come to the conclusion that no matter how much work you put into your previous years in undergraduate, your senior year will still be stressful and full of work you didn’t expect and possibly the most out of the norm (And I’ve only had two days of classes). Home Is Where The Heart Is But Not The Courage

Published August 20, 2012 by jrm17

I know they say you can’t go home again…And if you know anything about country music, you probably know the rest of that song.  Anyway, I officially know why no one ever wants to leave home.  I’ve been gone the past week with Michael and our friends (Read: three boys and one girl).  I have realized that as much as I like to believe I’m one of the guys, there is nothing like being at home and not having to please everyone else (Yes, I had fun but I’m not so good at not being dramatic and hiding my emotions).  But more than that it also made me realize that when I’m not home, different things happen for me. I May Be Small and Like To Spend Money But This Is Getting Ridiculous Even For Me

Published August 10, 2012 by jrm17

Let’s talk about a few things I really like today.  Mostly this is going to involve Victoria’s Secret but it involves sports, too.  You see, I could live in Pink clothes.  I have sweats and hoodies overflowing my drawers and there’s a fair amount of t-shirts as well.  Being that I love sports–and I clearly love Pink–I was ecstatic when they began coming out with sports teams apparel a few years ago.  I was buying it like crazy…However, things have changed. Kardashians Move Over. It’s Our Turn To Be A TV Family.

Published August 8, 2012 by jrm17

We watch a lot of TV in our family.  One of us in particular (shockingly not me) watches a lot of the Kardashians.  Another (again shockingly not me) watches a lot of MTV reality shows.  I watch a lot of…well everything.  It has come to my attention recently that our fascination with television has really turned us into a family (or maybe we would have been this bad without it.  I’m not sure) that would make an excellent reality show family.  Why is this you may ask?  Well, let me explain. Colin Farrell Could Get Me Interesed in Sci-Fi

Published August 6, 2012 by jrm17

So with no ghost tours on Saturday and Daddy working, my mom and I were left on our own to find something to do.  She wanted to go see Total Recall and I thought what the heck since I got to see Colin Farrell for two hours.  Really, I wasn’t so keen on the plot because I knew that she thought the original was hard to follow and kind of eh.  Well, the original is still something I don’t really plan on seeing and don’t really have any desire to but I liked this one (Let’s just say that Colin really helped and was able to do something for me that Arnold will never be able to). Expect the Unexpected…Or Just Expect What I Predict

Published August 3, 2012 by jrm17

Big Brother: Sadly, I have been addicted to this show since I was in elementary school and the first season aired.  Because I’ve watched it with such dedication each season, I know the ins and the outs of the game better than almost anyone who I have seen play it throughout the 14 seasons.  Every season I can pick out the winner within the first week most times (and usually that person is my favorite). So let’s talk about the intricacies of the game for this season. Read the rest of this entry →
